"There are three things to remember about being a starship captain. Keep your shirt tucked in, go down with the ship... and never abandon a member of your crew."

Star Trek is one of my favorite pieces of media ever.

I have loved Star Trek ever since I first watched Voyager in 2019 or 2020. My dad suggested we watch it together becuase he thought I might like Janeway a bit better than the TOS and Next Gen captains. From the very first episode I was obsessed, we ended up watching all of Voyager, TNG, DS9 and TOS together and I loved all of them.

Voyager will still always be my favorite out of them all though as I love Janeway and I became really engaged with the whole 'lost in space' part of it. I feel that the dynamic all the characters have in Voyager is a lot more engaging than the other shows as they all have to learn to get along in this harsh new reality they find themselves, and I love how it focuss a lot more on the characters and their motives and such than next gen and tos do. (Though still not as much as I would have liked. I have a bit of a feud with episodic TV shows. The shows where characters seem to reset back to a 'normal' place by the time the next episode comes out, all past traumatic events forgotten, will always annoy me. It especially annoyed me with the 'Locutus' episodes of next gen. After the arch is over Picard and the rest of the crew goes back to acting like normal and as if nothing ever happened. This is why I loved DS9. Most of that show was fairly episodic and a lot of the episodes flow into eachother.)
